Week 4 (July 17th – Jul 23rd 2017)

Today marks the fourth week of the 12 week training program I’ve started to try and improve my fitness prior to the Chicago Marathon later in the year. This week was down from the past 3 weeks as I had other priorities that were more important (cute little baby Anna!) but I still managed to just stay above my daily step average (10,427) with a few days where I did less than 10,000 but was able to cover it with a long walk home on Monday night from the hospital.

Active calories are way down this week with only really 2 exercise days (Friday and Sunday) and I wanted to keep it light since I hadn’t been out for almost a week. As you can also see sleep patterns are way out of whack (wonder why!).

Even with only doing a light week I still managed to bump up slightly in the VO2 Max which is great to see and hopefully that will continue to increase over the next few weeks, if I can make it to 50 before I finish the program I’ll be very happy.

Now that Anna is back at home I should be able to get back into a better routine this coming week and hopefully get back into the 100k steps again, although I’m not doing the 5am walks anymore.

That’s all for this week.
